Everything is then made or specified through our own workroom, so questions and after-care go straight to the people responsible for the result. And when you’d like to choose fabric properly, the showroom and workroom welcomes visitors — handle full-width curtain fabrics rather than judging by swatch, then take samples home to test in the rooms they’ll actually live in.
A brand-new build on Melville Beach Road looks straight over the river, and the owners’ brief was simple: nothing gets in the view’s way. The answer was motorised roller blinds paired with soft sheers. By day, the blinds disappear entirely and the sheers do the quiet work — softening glare and screening the interior without touching the outlook. When privacy or sun control is wanted, the blinds arrive at the touch of a button and retract just as cleanly. It’s a pairing we specify often for view-led new builds: the roller blind provides the muscle, the sheer provides the grace, and neither competes with the river.
The Raffles precinct and the towers around Canning Bridge have given Applecross a genuine apartment scene, with river and city outlooks that deserve better than off-the-shelf furnishings. Apartments are a speciality of ours: sunscreen roller blinds keep the view while cutting glare and UV, double roller blinds add blockout on the same bracket for bedrooms, and motorised curtains on quality Acmeda and Somfy systems suit wide glazing and balcony sliders.
