Browse hundreds of fabric samples in natural light, see finished examples of different curtain headings, Roman blind styles and soft furnishings, and often watch curtains and blinds being cut, sewn and finished in the attached workroom.

Many clients say visiting the workroom was the moment they felt confident choosing Hay Interiors. Seeing the care taken with every seam, hem and finish — and knowing our curtains are made on site — gives reassurance that photographs alone cannot. It also makes for richer conversations: when you can see how fabrics behave and how styles are constructed, choosing becomes clearer and more enjoyable.
For interior designers visiting with clients, the workroom is a particularly powerful proof point — it shows the capability behind the specification in a way no showroom of resold products can match.
The workroom is only part of it. What we make here is also measured and fitted under our own supervision, by installers Annie has worked with for years and trusts on any window in Perth. They are not a rotating crew sent by a supplier, and they are not meeting your curtains for the first time on the day.
That continuity matters more than it sounds. A curtain made to a measurement someone else took is a curtain nobody is quite accountable for — when a drop is wrong, the making and the measuring blame each other. Here the measurement, the making and the fit all sit with the same people, so there is nobody to pass it to.
It matters afterwards too. Fabric settles, a track occasionally needs adjusting, and a hem sometimes wants a fraction taken off once the curtains have hung for a few weeks. When that happens the work comes back to the workroom that made it rather than into a supplier’s service queue, and it is dealt with by someone who knows exactly how the curtain was built.
Annie is often on site for the install herself.

Yes — in-home consultations are available throughout Perth and are often the best way to assess light, measure and plan. Many clients do both: a showroom visit for fabrics, and a home visit for measuring.
